ATTENTION: Only eligible members can make monetary contributions to any IBT election campaign.
A monetary contribution must be made voluntarily by the eligible member with his/her personal funds and cannot be made with funds provided by a third party or reimbursed to the member. No employer may contribute, nor be permitted to contribute, directly or indirectly, anything of value, where the purpose, objective, or foreseeable effect of the contribution is influence, positively or negatively, the election of a candidate. No member (who is not a candidate for International Office) shall contribute more than $2,000, in total, for use in the International Officer election. No union funds or other things of value shall be used, directly or indirectly, to promote the candidacy of any individual. Candidates and contributors are strictly liable for ensuring that each contribution received is permitted. Former members, members on withdrawal, suspended members, and retirees are not eligible members and therefore prohibited from contributing.
In the event that someone purchasing an item on the OZ Teamsters United 2026 online store has made the maximum allowable contribution to the 2026 International Officer Election or is otherwise ineligible to donate to the 2026 International Officer Election, this purchase will be recorded as a contribution to the Teamsters United 2026 Legal and Accounting Fund.
